Does DPC Replace My Insurance?

Direct Primary Care is not an insurance policy — and it's not designed to be. Anchored in Health membership covers the vast majority of your everyday healthcare needs: primary care, sick visits, women's health, pediatrics, labs, and more. We strongly recommend pairing your membership with a catastrophic or high-deductible insurance plan to cover hospitalizations, specialist surgery, or emergency care. Together, DPC + a low-cost supplement is often far more affordable than traditional insurance alone.

Yes! Most members maintain a catastrophic or supplemental insurance plan alongside their DPC membership. DPC covers your everyday care; insurance covers the unexpected. 


No long-term contracts. Your membership is month-to-month. You may cancel with 30 days' notice. 


Amy coordinates referrals and communicates directly with specialists on your behalf. Your membership does not cover hospital or specialist fees, which is why we recommend a supplement plan. 


Same-day or next-day appointments are typically available for members. New patient onboarding appointments are scheduled within the first week. 


Anchored in Health does not bill Medicare or Medicaid nor are we enrolled in either program.
